Bill has had a long career in our profession including many years of experience as master of dedicated oil spill response vessels operating in the North Sea and has held senior management positions with Briggs Marine in both the UK and overseas. He has always been a stalwart supporter of ISCO. During an extended assignment in Brazil he served as the ISCO Member of Council for Brazil for several years, recruiting a significant number of new members and also organising in-country meetings of members. He has contributed as a member of ISCO delegations at IMO and given of his time as a key member of the ISCO-BIMCO Working Group on the new International Spill Response Contract. He has also contributed articles for publication in the ISCO Newsletter. Currently he serves on our Executive Committee and, in line with ISCO’s commitment to support the International Spill Accreditation Association, is spearheading the expansion of ISAA’s operations in England, Scotland and Wales.
