Ammonia is a front runner for the net zero target set by the IMO. Yet there is no reliable data addressing the fate and the behaviour of Ammonia in marine environment. Arise (Ammonia Response In Sea Emergencies) aims to fill the knowledge gaps by conducting experiments, thereby enhancing the quality and consistency of risk assessments. This initiative will support the maritime sector and regulators in safely deploying ammonia as a clean energy vector and an alternative fuel, accelerating the transition of the maritime industry.
