Hello from Ohmsett!
My name is Brian Webster, the new Ohmsett Operations Manager, and I am excited to get started at this amazing facility! I am reaching out to our existing email list to introduce myself and revive our e-mail correspondence to our subscribers.
Last year was a busy year for us. We successfully conducted a variety of testing and training events, completed a full tank refurbishment, and modernized our facility with a new wave dampening (beach) system and bridge house to provide expanded testing and data acquisition capabilities.
Looking forward to 2026, we are actively booking test and training events:
· Oil Spill Response Equipment Testing. Get your equipment in the water under controlled conditions to see how it performs. Things may seem relatively calm right now, but the day you need your equipment shouldn’t be the day you test it.
· Oil Spill Tactics and Training. Ohmsett provides a variety of training classes throughout the year, but we offer custom training as well if our standard offerings do not meet your needs. Let us know your requirements and we’ll design a course for your organization!
· Beyond Oil. Our facility is capable of supporting other testing opportunities, including hydrokinetic devices, autonomous maritime systems, coastal infrastructure & protection equipment, and marine debris recovery solutions. Have an unconventional idea that requires a large, open saltwater tank with wave generation capability? Reach out and let us know!
Our tank is open for business, and our experts are ready to help! Even if you aren’t actively seeking testing at this time, we invite previous customers and prospective new clients to stop by and see the improvements we’ve been making at the facility.
