ISCO continues to work with University of Sussex

ISCO has continued its collaboration with the University of Sussex, with Professor Rupert Bravery of ISCO, recently announced as Chair of the University’s Industry Advisory Board (IAB).

The University commented: “Delighted to share that today we successfully relaunched our Industry Advisory Board for the Department of Engineering and Design at the University of Sussex!

Today’s meeting brought together industry leaders and academic colleagues to shape the future of engineering education and research. A huge thank you to our industrial members for joining us on campus and via Teams.

Thank you all for your valuable insights, expertise and commitment to supporting our students and research. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to working together to deliver real-world impact.“

In response, Rupert thanked the University: “I am very honoured to be chosen to be the Chair of the Industry Advisory Board as we work in collaboration with a diverse collection of  individuals from the world of academia, commerce, research & industry and whose common aim is ensure that the Department of Engineering and Design is best in class.   This is just one example of the work that members of the ISCO Council are undertaking to improve engagement with academia to ensure that there is a good seed bed of future professionals to work in the spill response industry; so often we find that students, who have the qualifications and skill sets that we need to ensure a robust industry, are unaware of our work, and ISCO is working hard on your behalf to change this”.
