ISCO TO FORM MOU WITH LATIN AMERICAN ORGANISATION SLOM


Following on discussions over recent months between Carlos Sagrera (ISCO’s representative in Latin America) other ISCO members
and the principles of The Sociedad Latinoamericana de Operadores de Terminales Marítimos Petroleros y Monoboyas – SLOM, the
Executive Committee of ISCO has approved a proposal to form a Memorandum of Understatanding with SLOM.
The Sociedad Latinoamericana de Operadores de Terminales Marítimos Petroleros y Monoboyas – SLOM, is an international, non –
profit association, that seeks integration between Maritime Oil Terminals and organizations, authorities and companies in the
industry, through organizing activities for the exchange of technical experiences, in order to promote safe, sustainable and efficient
operations by the standardization of best practices.
Since 2005, SLOM organizes anually the Jornadas de Operadores de Terminales Marítimos Petroleros y Monoboyas, the planning and
development of this event is an effort that has as its main objective make our Maritime Oil Ports safer and cleaner as well as more
efficient and competitive. This annual conference is the best scenario for the dissemination of new technologies and for offering
specialized products and services for the oil, maritime and port sectors of Latin America and the world.
