MSC Baltic III Aground in Newfoundland

Following the grounding of the container ship MSC Baltic III in Newfoundland on 15th February after a loss of power in rough seas, salvage teams have successfully boarded the vessel.

Although there were some initial reports of a small fuel oil / diesel spill, the Canadian Coast Guard is reporting that “no pollution has been observed”.
