Reports are being received of a fire onboard the Singapore-registered container ship Wan Hai 503, approximately 80 km southwest of Azhikkal, Kerala, India on 9th June, with twenty-two crew on board. Eighteen crew members are said to have been rescued with some sustaining injuries while four crew members remain unaccounted for.
The Indian Coast Guard and Navy are in attendance and conducting S&R operations – there is no report of pollution to date. Links below:
