At the invitation of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC), the IOPC Funds contributed to the delivery of a sub-regional workshop on liability and compensation for oil pollution damage in Slovenia on 17 and 18 June 2025.
The IOPC Funds’ Annual Academy took place from Monday 9 to Friday 13 June at the Funds’ headquarters in London. This year’s Academy was attended by participants from 14 Member States of the 1992 Fund representing a range of backgrounds, including several in legal, financial and diplomatic positions within their administrations, industry stakeholders and others.
At the invitation of the Malaysian Marine Department and in collaboration with the Malaysian Maritime Transport Training Institute (MATRAIN), the IOPC Funds delivered a short online induction course on 18 June 2025.
The event was attended by eight 1992 Fund Member States (Angola, Cambodia, Liberia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and the United Republic of Tanzania) and two non-Member States (Bangladesh and Myanmar).
